How would you feel if you were told that your name and personal details had been sold to a professional advisor so that they could take up your case to make money out of you. You may not be very happy to be treated in this way. Your name and details could be sold to a number of organisations and then you receive a waive of texts and emails and even strangers knocking at your door.

Hopefully the game is up. Over 15 years after Gerry Rooney challenged this practice at the Law Society in London the Government is taking a serious interest in this disgraceful behaviour.

Hopefully the Government will now see the light and realise that the selling of clients for money cannot possibly be in the client’s best interests not least because this practice wastes millions of pounds in the supply chain and you the client end up paying for it in your insurance premiums.
